One of the city of Atlanta’s most historic districts is getting set to host their annual music festival, Amplify Decatur.

Anyone who has had the privilege of making it out to Decatur, Georgia knows it’s home to one of the best-kept secrets of the metro Atlanta area: the musical history.  Since 2015, Amplify Decatur has become an annual celebration of the community that works tirelessly to help those in need.

For this year’s event, all funds will be raised to help benefit Decatur Cooperative Ministry, which works to help the homeless in Decatur and DeKalb County.

As the years have gone on the artist themselves have become increasingly bigger with 2016 featuring The Milk Carton Kids and Elephant Revival.

The famous rock and blues player will be co-headlined by Seattle, Washington breakout Noah Gundersen. Other musicians include John Moreland, Harold Holloway & Co, Packway Handle Band, and Kristen Englenz.

For the second year in a row, the event will be held in the historic downtown Decatur Square and will be surrounded by some of the city’s finest local businesses.
